Lin Cheng-wei started Danshui Drains in 2011 after nearly a decade in commercial installations. That shift — from large-scale work to domestic call-outs — was deliberate. Home plumbing has a different rhythm and a different responsibility. You're working in someone's living space, not a building site.
Every technician on the team holds a current ROC plumbing certification and has completed a minimum of three years of supervised work. We don't send new staff on solo calls until they're ready. That has meant slower growth and a smaller team — which is fine with us.

Hourly billing is common in the trades and creates a predictable anxiety: how long will this take? With our approach, the service price is fixed and published. Once we've seen the job, we confirm the exact amount. That's what you pay.
If something turns out to be more involved than expected — a second pipe joint that needs attention, for example — we stop, explain, and agree on a revised total before continuing. The decision remains with you.
Straightforward Communication, Start to Finish
The booking is confirmed with a time window. We call if we're running late. On arrival, we introduce ourselves, confirm what you've described, and look at the problem before touching anything. We explain what we find, confirm the cost, and carry out the work.
On leaving, a written summary is handed over — what was done, what parts were used, any observations worth knowing. It takes five minutes to write and saves a lot of confusion later if anything related comes up.
